The Arncliffe Arms is a pub located in the village of Glaisdale, on the coast2coast path which is situated in the North York Moors National Park in North Yorkshire, England, near the town of Whitby. The pub has a long history, dating back to the early 19th century when it was originally a coaching inn, providing accommodation and refreshment for travellers passing through the area. The Arncliffe Arms serves a range of traditional pub grub, including locally sourced meats, fresh fish, vegetarian options and off course the famous Sunday lunch. The menu changes throughout the year, but you’ll find a good example of our food here.
The bar area boasts a well-stocked bar, featuring a variety of local ales from the finest Yorkshire brewers, wines, and spirits. The bar area has a wide screen TV, pool table and darts area, if you prefer somewhere quiet to dine and chat the Arncliffe has a large seated area. This area is popular with local for quiz nights and functions.

The Arncliffe Arms In addition to its role as a popular pub, also offers bed & breakfast accommodation, with six comfortable and well-appointed single, twins and double guest rooms available for visitors to stay in. All of the rooms have en-suite bathrooms, comfortable beds, and tea and coffee-making facilities. Some of the rooms also have views of the surrounding countryside or the village.
In the morning, guests can enjoy a full English breakfast in the dining area, breakfast is included in the room rate.

Kev Watson2023-08-31We stayed for one night with our dog in the room below the restaurant. We were traveling from Scotland to Norfolk and broke the journey down at the halfway point. The location was excellent for dog walking and the accommodation worked well with access to outside. The food was great and large well cooked local food served with a smile and plenty of humour. The owner and staff (Becky) looked after our every need and our German friends that stayed with us commented that it was the best food they’d eaten in the UK. Great traditional pub, good beer, food, pool table and darts. What more could we ask for!

Just been back for my second stay as before great place am already thinking about booking again staff and owners brilliant people 👏 even helped me out when I'd forgotten to bring my lighter, great surroundings made even better by the owners and staff, will definitely be back again.
